If this is our first time meeting, hi! I have to say though, I’m much more excited to meet you in person.
If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I am a born creative. I am obsessed with creating unique experiences and images that tell stories. Since I was a child, I have loved art, and as a teenager I found my love for the camera. I’ve always cherished photos of my family when we were young and would look through them often. The ability to “freeze” moments as they happened felt like a responsibility. It then became natural to photograph events in my life as well as my families life.
In my early twenties I moved across the country far from my family. It was then I especially gained an appreciation for the camera and the photos I had previously taken. When it came time for me to move back home years later, the photos I had taken in my temporary home in South Carolina were lost.
The value of a memory becomes realized when the only thing documenting it is lost.
Our memories of moments are often reinforced because of the photographs and journal entries that document it. Without documentation we are left with just our fallible human minds to remember moments. It is the nature of this world that when something is limited, it becomes more valuable. When documentation is lost, memories are the only thing left. The limited nature of memories is what realizes its value.
Because of those experiences, I’ve become particularly captivated in the opportunity to help others document the real moments in their life.
I have been using top-of-the-line equipment, shooting freelance, learning from seasoned photographers, and studying photography and business for the last 8 years. My photography hobby has transformed into a profitable business, and I have shot countless weddings and portraits.
Currently, I am working as a commercial photographer and content creator for multiple businesses in Southern Utah.
Some very important info: I’m married to the coolest boy in the world. I spend my free time painting. I also study American Sign Language. And I have a special place in my heart for Dr. Pepper.
